Holland Tulip Time Festival

Celebrate spring at Holland, Michigan’s beloved Tulip Time Festival where millions of blooming tulips and authentic Dutch traditions bring the town’s heritage to life. Stroll spectacular gardens, enjoy the parade, and experience Dutch culture at every turn. New this year, our trip concludes with a visit to Shipshewana’s Amish Country, adding peaceful countryside, rich traditions and warm hospitality to this popular tour.

Day 1 – Holland, Michigan – Our first day’s journey takes us to our hotel for three nights in Holland. Founded by Dutch immigrants in the 19th century, this charming town on the eastern shores of Lake Michigan draws thousands of visitors every year with its natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage. Dinner is included.

Day 2 – Windmill Island – De Klomp & Delft Factory – Veldheer Gardens – Holland – Our first stop today is the famous Windmill Island, where we see a 1761 operating windmill “De Zwaan,” America’s only authentic Dutch windmill, along with a miniature Dutch village, a drawbridge, and thousands of beautiful tulips.   This afternoon, we visit the De Klomp Wooden Shoe & Delf Factory, where craftsmen decorate pottery and craft wooden shoes out of one solid piece of wood. Next, we visit Veldheer Tulip Gardens to see more than five million tulips in bloom.  We finish the day off with dinner and a show in Holland.

Day 3 – Tulip Time Parade – Holland – It’s officially “tulip time” as we start the day cruising down Holland’s tulip lanes – streets of beautifully manicured lawns and houses with rows of tulips in a variety of colors. After lunch on our own in this quaint town, we take our seats for the highlight of the week,  the famous Tulip Time Parade. After the community Street Scrubbing, the parade kicks off as bands, decorative floats and residents in full Dutch costume march through the downtown streets. Our night concludes with dinner and another amazing show.

Day 4 – Shipshewana – Menno-Hof – Amish Dinner – We depart Holland and make our way to Shipshewana in the heart of Indiana’s Amish country. Here, we’ll explore the Menno-Hof Information Center for an engaging look into the Amish-Mennonite way of life. The afternoon is yours for shopping and lunch on your own. After checking into our Shipshewana hotel, we’ll cap off the day with an included Amish style dinner.

Day 5 – Amish Country Tour – Home – Our day starts with a guided tour of Indiana’s Amish country with a step-on guide who will share fascinating insights into the Amish way of life, culture, and traditions. Along the way, take in the peaceful countryside, horse-drawn buggies, and charming farms that define the region. Next, we journey homeward with memories of this colorful, culture-filled getaway.   Meals: 4B, 4D, Shows: 2
