Experience an old-fashioned Christmas in Ohio with one of the best light displays in the country, small-town charm, an entertaining show and plenty of festive fellowship.
DAY 1 – Golden Lamb Restaurant – Clifton Mill – Santa Museum – Dayton, OH
We start our journey with an included lunch at the historic Golden Lamb Restaurant, a tavern built in 1803 that has hosted over a dozen U.S. presidents from John Quincy Adams to George W. Bush. After lunch, we will have time for shopping in quaint downtown Lebanon, a quaint mix of antique and specialty stores. This evening, it’s time to explore one of the nation’s finest Christmas lights display at the historic Clifton Mill. Millions of lights illuminate the mill, the riverbanks, trees, and bridges, transforming the night into a winter wonderland. Enjoy free time to visit the Santa Museum with over 3,000 Santa Claus figures on display ranging from the new to the very old and odd.
DAY 2 – Esther Price Candies – “Santa Claus: The Musical” Home
This morning begins with a visit to the beloved Esther Price Candies where we can buy loved ones (or ourselves!) some sweet Christmas gifts. Next, we head to the La Comedia Dinner Theatre for an included lunch and a lively and engaging show, “Santa Claus: The Musical.” This heartwarming journey tells the story of how Santa Claus came to be and how he keeps the magic of Christmas alive each year. After the show, we make our way back home, with warm thoughts of Christmases past and hopes of Christmases to come.
