Spring is more than just a season at the opulent, castle-like Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina – it’s a celebration of flowers! Throughout the estate, thousands of flowers form a display of color. From the gardens to the house and winery, spectacular floral displays light up the rooms with springtime.
DAY 1 – Asheville, North Carolina – Today we travel to Asheville, North Carolina, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We’ll enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant. Afterward, we continue to our hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, where we overnight for two nights.
DAY 2 – Biltmore House Tour – Stable Café – Biltmore Gardens and Winery – After an included breakfast, we drive directly to the Biltmore Estate for a tour of this impressive mansion. The heart of the estate is the 250-room Biltmore House, a European chateau built in French Renaissance style by the tycoon George Washington Vanderbilt. Opened in 1895, Biltmore became a favorite home for Mr. Vanderbilt and his family. Lunch is included at the Stable Café, a historic setting that was once the estate’s horse stable. This afternoon, we tour the formal gardens, blooming with fragrant roses, tulips, daffodils, and azaleas. Afterwards, we visit Antler Hill Village and the Biltmore shops. You may choose to visit the Biltmore Estate Winery while we are here. The winery tour starts in the welcome center and concludes in their well-stocked gift shop. After this enjoyable day, we have included dinner at a popular restaurant in Asheville.
DAY 3 – Home – After an included breakfast, we return home from a wonderful spring experience at the Biltmore Estate.
